Rear Curtain invites photographers to submit their work for consideration to be published on our website and in our print magazine.
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
We will be announcing the theme of our next issue shortly. In the meantime our doors are wide open for you to send in your stories for consideration, either in print or on the web. If you have any questions regarding if your stories are in keeping with our vision and mission, pop us a note and we will let you know.
Please see the Photo Essays section below for submission guidelines.
We are specifically looking for photo essays with between 10 and 20 images that carry a message of connection no matter where in the world we live and that show what we all have in common regardless of race, culture, religion or geography.
The Photo Essay must include the following information:
- An Essay Title
- A written essay
- 10 to 20 accompanying images
- Your name and contact information including your website
Images should be in JPG format and resized to 2400px on the longest side at 240 dpi. When submitting your images, please ensure they are in a Zip file. Send your submissions to email@example.com. Each story will be carefully reviewed by the editors–and possibly guest curators–before they are included on our website. We may respond to your submission by either asking you for further information or providing feedback how on to make your story stronger in order to be accepted for publication.
ONGOING PHOTOGRAPHY PROJECTS
We are also accepting ongoing photography projects for consideration. An ongoing photography project is long-term piece of work that is being told in parts or chapters. It should also carry the same message linking people to one another by reflecting our similarities. The Project must include the following information:
- A Project Title
- A brief explanation of the Project and its ongoing nature
- An initial submission of 10-20 images
- A tentative schedule for future image submissions
