The Mooreland County Freefair. The idea was a Rear Curtain on the road of sorts (minus one Canadian).
I can still smell the diesel and popcorn, still hear the beckoning calls of the carnies and the white noise of a community gathered together. For five days Ray Ketcham, Stuart Sipahigil, and I roamed the Mooreland County Freefair cameras to our faces. Each of us had a loosely assigned topic we wanted to cover which when combined, we hope will share a story about the atmosphere, energy, and community found at a small-town fair.
We’ve barely brushed off the sweat and dust (or burned off the cotton candy, milkshakes, and fried pickles) and we have editing to do so how successful we were with the project is still being revealed. Keep checking in, we plan on sharing the results of the project in some form when the editing is complete.
For now here are some samples.
